Kevin Kozacek

Has been the Music Director of the Verde Valley Sinfonietta since 2017. Additionally he is  founding director of North Valley Symphony Orchestra in Phoenix, a position he retains along with the Sinfonietta directorship. He is also the former founding director of ProMusica Arizona Chorale and Orchestra.

He has guest conducted orchestras in Russia and Ukraine, and has been a conducting fellow in several workshops around the U.S. Mr. Kozacek earned music degrees from the University of Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona University.

At NAU, he received his masters degree in orchestral conducting with honors, studying with Dr. Daniel O'Bryant. He has also studied conducting with Lawrence Golan, Zvonimir Hacko, Nicholas Ross, Donald Thulean, Apo Hsu, Harold Farberman and Raymond Harvey. 

Maestro Kozacek is retiring from his post as the Sinfonietta’s Music Director at the end of this season. "It has been a privilege to conduct the orchestra and to move the organization forward," said Mr. Kozacek. ​“This orchestra is unique for an area as small as Sedona and the Verde Valley. The community enthusiasm, dedication of the board of trustees and everyone's support is remarkable. I am sure that my successor will enjoy the orchestra and the Sedona community and continue to bring great music to appreciative audiences.”
